What are the benefits of Invisalign?
Invisalign clear aligners work behind the scenes to straighten your teeth. When worn, they’re barely noticeable on your teeth and won’t impact your appearance. They’re also removable for meals and oral hygiene, allowing you to eat and brush your teeth like normal. Are Invisalign aligners painful?
You will feel some discomfort at the onset of your treatment and every time you switch to new aligners due to the pressure they place on your teeth. Once you adjust to this pressure, the discomfort will cease. What you won’t feel are metal wires scratching your gums, lips or cheeks.
How often must I wear the aligners?
Ideally, you should wear the aligners 22 hours a day, removing them primarily to eat or brush your teeth. It’s also okay to remove the aligners for special occasions, if you don’t overdo it.
How do I care for the aligners?
We can provide you with an Invisalign cleaning kit, or you can brush your aligners with clear, liquid soap and rinse them in warm water every time they’re removed. This keeps them clean and stain-free.
